Crock Pot Chicken
with Seasoned Rice

4 to 5 lb. Whole Chicken
4 Medium Onions, peeled and cut in half root to tip

14 oz - BS Sauce
Salt and Pepper



  1. Remove ALL visible fats from chicken & using fingers force between skin & meat on breast and thighs.
  2. Place onion halves in bottom of crock pot cut side down and turn cooker on LOW.
  3. Place Chicken in pot neck end down, with large opening up.
  4. Slowly pour sauce in openings you have made using about of the sauce.
  5. Pour remaining sauce over outside of Chicken, cover and cook for 8 hours

Be careful removing chicken when done. It will fall apart if you are not careful.
Use a gravy or soup ladle to pour sauce over chicken when served.




Serve with Seasoned Rice

Cook time 15-20 minutes
3 cups room temp chicken broth in heavy pot with well fitting lid
1 cups long grain rice
Put rice and broth in pot over high heat. As soon as this starts to boil turn heat down to maintain slow simmer
Cook until most of liquid is absorbed, then remove from heat
